Deleting defined attributes

When you delete a defined attribute from a parent entity type, the attribute is removed from these areas:
  • The defined attributes section in the parent entity type
  • The inherited attributes section in all of the parent type's child entity types
  • The attributes section of any entity that was created with the parent entity type or child entity type. Any information that had been specified for the attribute is also deleted.
  1. On the dashboard, click Entity Types.
  2. If multiple accounting entities are available in PIM, ensure that you have selected the accounting entity that you want to use.
  3. In the records pane, click the entity type that you are editing.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Expand the Defined section.
  6. On the row that contains the attribute that you are deleting, click the Edit Row button.
  7. In the Edit Attribute panel, click Remove.
  8. In the confirmation dialog box, click Continue. The attribute is removed from the attributes table.
  9. In the Entity types form, click Update. The attribute is deleted.
