Defined and inherited attributes
All entity types can have defined attributes. Child entity types can also have inherited
attributes.
Defined attributes are specifically associated with an entity type. You can edit and delete an entity type's defined attributes.
An entity type inherits attributes from entity types that are higher in the hierarchy. You can view an entity type's inherited attributes. To edit inherited attributes, you must edit the parent entity type where the attribute is defined. Any changes that you make to attributes on a parent entity type are applied to all children of the parent entity type.
