Moving an entity to a different entity type

Use this procedure to reorganize entities. You can move entities within the same accounting entity only.
Note: If the source entity type and target entity type do not have the same attribute data structure, information for attributes that do not match is deleted.
  1. On the dashboard, click Entities.
  2. If multiple accounting entities are available in PIM, ensure that you have selected the accounting entity that you want to use.
  3. In the navigation pane, select the current entity type of the entity that you are moving to a new entity type.
  4. Select the check box next to the entity name. You can select more than one check box.
  5. Click the arrow and select the new entity type for the selected entities.
  6. Click Move. If you selected multiple entities, a message is displayed that indicates that the files are being processed. An icon is displayed on the entities that are being moved.
  7. To view the updated list of entities, click Refresh.
