Configuring the length of cost center IDs

When a customer specifies a cost center on an order, the cost center ID is replicated in the Statistics Identity 1 field in Infor M3. The maximum size of this field is five characters. Therefore, we recommend that you set the length of cost center IDs to five.

  1. In the Business Center, select Application Setup > Application Details.
  2. In the Group field, specify Ordering.
  3. In the CostCenterIdLength parameter, specify the maximum length of cost center IDs. We recommend that you specify 5.
  4. Click Save.
