Search function in the Quick Order Entry widget

In the Quick Order Entry widget, the search function is triggered after a user enters a minimum number of characters and the search wait time elapses. By default, the minimum number of characters is 3, and the search wait time is 1000 ms. You can override the default settings in the Quick Order Entry widget.

Search results are displayed based on the relevancy setting that is set up in the in the Dashboard form in the Business Center. The relevancy setting determines how results are weighted. For example, if Item UPC is prioritized over Item Number, then Item UPC codes that match search terms are presented first.

If a user scans an item ID or manually enters an ID without pausing, then the search function is not triggered.
