Configuring the Product List widget to show enriched category information

After you enrich category information in the Business Center, configure the Product List widget to show the information.

  1. Sign in to the web shop with site editor credentials.
  2. Navigate to the Category List page.
  3. On the Product List widget, select Options > Configuration.
  4. In the Display Category Description configuration, click Yes. On pages that show a list of categories, the short description that is specified in the Business Center is displayed. On pages that show the products that are assigned to a category, the long description of the category is displayed. If a long description is not available, then no description is displayed.
  5. In the Display Categories Images configuration, click Yes. On pages that show a list of categories, the preview image for each category is displayed. On pages that show the products that are assigned to a category, the main image is displayed. If an image has not been specified in the Business Center for a category, then no image is displayed.
  6. Click SAVE.
