Shipping and delivery

During the shipping and delivery steps of the checkout, users specify how they receive their orders.

Depending on the configuration of the Business Center and the web shop, you can consolidate shipping and delivery information into one step.

The shipping and delivery information that users can specify depend upon the application properties and feature elements that are set up in the Business Center.

Shipping

This table shows features that you can enable in the Shipping step in the checkout flow:
Section Description Setup
Cost center Users specify the cost center to associate with their order. Cost centers
Delivery Users specify whether they pick up their orders or have their orders delivered.
If they click Pick up , then they specify the store where they will retrieve their order. These sections and steps are omitted:
  • Delivery Method or Delivery Carrier
  • Ship From
  • Shipping Address
  • Select Multiple Addresses
  • Shipping Date
  • Manage Multiple Addresses and Shipping Dates
The Delivery step of the checkout flow is skipped.
Click to collect
Delivery Method or Delivery Carrier Users select how you ship their order to them. When this section is displayed in the Shipping step, users select one delivery method for the entire order.

The label of this section depends upon how delivery method information is sent from the ERP.

 Setting up the selection of a single delivery method for the order
Ship From Users select the location that ships their orders.

Customers who can choose the warehouse from which their orders are shipped cannot use the confirmed delivery date feature. If the Select Order Warehouse check box is selected, then the Get Confirmed Delivery Dates check box must be cleared.

Delivery
Shipping Address Users select the address where the order is shipped. All lines in the order are sent to this address.
Select Multiple Addresses Users select addresses for order lines. Setting up shipments to multiple addresses
Shipping Date Users request one shipping date for the order. Requested delivery dates (not confirmed by ERP)

Manage Multiple Addresses and Shipping Dates Users select addresses and shipping dates for each order line. Complete these procedures:

Shipping Date Users select the date that the order is sent. This date is a requested date that is not confirmed by the ERP. Setting up delivery date functions without ERP confirmation
