Attributes and facets

An attribute is a characteristic of a product that you can show in the Specifications section of the Product Details widget. A facet is a product attribute that customers can use to filter the products that are displayed on the products list page.

Use a product information management system to create attributes and define individual attribute values. For example, an attribute named Color could have individual attribute values of Blue or Green.

Use the Business Center to specify the attributes to use as facets. You also use the Business Center to specify the order in which facets and facet values are displayed in the web shop.
