What happens when a guest user registers in the web shop

When a guest user registers in the web shop, information about the user is created in Rhythm Portal and the Business Center.

In Rhythm Portal, the user's email address is used to create an account. The user's first name and last name are saved. The user is assigned to the Rhythm Portal Rhythm User role.

The user is replicated to the Business Center. The new user is displayed in the Consumer Users form. The user's name, email, and market are saved in the consumer user record.

During replication, the user role that is specified on the market that the user selected is assigned to the consumer user.

After the consumer user registers, the user receives an email that confirms the registration.

Optionally, you can configure the web shop to verify the user's email address at registration. If this feature is enabled, the user is redirected to a verification web page after registration. An email with a verification code is sent to the email address that was used to register for the account. To verify the email address, the user completes one of these steps:
  • Copy the verification code from the email and paste it into the field on the verification page.
  • Click the link in the verification email.
Users can also request a new code.
