Role types

A role type defines where a role should be used. The Rhythm e-Commerce Business Center is preconfigured with these role types:

Role type	Description
Administrator	Roles with this role type are assigned to users from the merchant company. This type of user is usually involved in the administration of the application.
Guest User	Roles with this role type are assigned to visitors of your website. This type of user is usually allowed to shop, but cannot buy or order.
Consumer User	Roles with this role type are self-registered visitors of your website. This type of user is usually allowed to register during the checkout process and submit orders.
Customer User	Roles with this role type are assigned to company users. These users are registered in Rhythm.
