Preconfigured user roles

The application is preconfigured with several user roles and feature elements:

User role Role type Description
Guest User Guest User A user who:
  • Is unknown
  • Can browse through categories and items, but cannot submit orders
Consumer User Consumer User A user who:
  • Can browse through product categories and view prices
  • Can add items into the shopping cart
  • Can register during the checkout process and submit orders
Regular User Customer User A user who:
  • Is registered as a user at a known company
  • Can edit own user profile, including setting a default user shipping address
  • Can browse through product categories and items
  • Can add products into the shopping cart
  • Can submit orders
  • Can view list prices in addition to the normal prices
Advanced User Customer User A user who, in addition to all capabilities of a regular user, can:
  • Create and edit the profiles of the company's users
  • View the company's account and postings
Administrator Administrator Uses the Business Center to:
  • Manage legal agreements
  • Configure and run scheduled jobs
  • Manage application details
  • Manage company information, company policy, and purchase terms and conditions

A merchant user who accesses the Business Center to set up the merchant environment
