Document type fields

You can add fields to document types. Use these fields to store information about the document that is important to your company.
This table shows the types of fields that you can add to document types:
Field type Description
Boolean A check box
Color A field that users can click to view a color picker.
Date A field that stores a date
Decimal A field that stores a decimal number.
Documents and Media A button that users can click to attach existing documents and media to the document type.
Geolocation A map that users can click to specify a location.
HTML A field that holds a URL.
Integer A field that holds a whole number. If a user enters a decimal, the number is rounded to the nearest whole number.
Link to Page A link to a page in your website.
Number A field that holds a number. The number is displayed exactly as the user enters it. It is not rounded, nor does it have decimal places added to it.
Radio Option buttons. Users can select one of the buttons in the set. Use the Options setting to specify the names of the options in the set.
Select A drop-down menu or a menu field with options that users can select. To insert a drop-down menu, specify No in the Multiple setting. Users can select only one option from the drop-down menu. To insert a menu field, specify Yes in the Multiple setting. Users can select more than one option from the list. Use the Options setting to specify the names of the options.
Text A field where users can specify text.
Text Box A larger field where users can specify text.
Web Content A field where users can select existing web content.
