Completing a keyword search of all attribute values

Use this procedure to search entities that contain keywords or phrases in any attribute.

  1. On the dashboard, click Entities.
  2. If multiple accounting entities are available in PIM, ensure that you have selected the accounting entity that you want to use.
  3. Use the navigation pane to select the type of entities to search.
  4. In the Search field, specify the keywords or phrase. You can use these search criteria.
    • A single word. For example, specify Yellow to search for entities that contain the word Yellow in any attribute.
    • Multiple words. All words must be used on an entity record to be included in the search results. For example, if you searched for Yellow hat, entities that meet these criteria are included in the search results:
      • An entity that included "yellow hat" or "yellow sun hat" in any attribute field.
      • An entity that included hat in one attribute field and yellow in a second attribute field.
    • A phrase. To search for a phrase, enclose the search term in quotation marks. For example, if you searched for "Yellow hat", then an entity that included "yellow hat" in any attribute is included in the search results. An entity that included "yellow sun hat" is not included in the search results.
  5. Press Enter.
