Adding parent entity types

  1. On the dashboard, click Entity Types.
  2. If multiple accounting entities are available in PIM, ensure that you have selected the accounting entity that you want to use.
  3. Click the Add button. An entity type is added to the top level of the structure.
  4. Specify this information:
    Entity Type Name
    Specify a name for the entity type.
    Description
    Specify a description.
  5. Add attributes that apply to the parent entity type and to all of the parent's child entity types.

  6. Specify the attributes to display in the entities grid in the Map to Entity Name and Map to Entity Description fields. Pick attributes that help you identify the entity.

  7. Optionally, specify ERP mappings in the Key Identfier and Entity Type Selection fields. When items are replicated from the ERP, they are assigned to entity types based on the mappings that you specify.

  8. Click Save.
