Items and order lines

When a customer adds the same item to the cart for the second time, either the quantity of the original line is updated, or a second line is added.

If a second line is added, the customer can optionally specify a different delivery date or shipping address for each line in the cart.

For example, add Item A to the cart with a quantity of 3. Add Item A a second time to the cart with a quantity of 4. The item is displayed once in the cart with a quantity of 7. To display the item twice in the cart, one line with a quantity of 3 and one line with a quantity of 4, you must enable the feature element Allow Multiple Lines per Order.

Depending on the Business Center is set up, customers can specify a different shipping address or shipping date for each line in the order.
