Self-registration

After you set up self-registration, any guest visitor to the web shop can register for an account.

Guests who self-register do not have a formal contract with you. After guests register, they are consumer users.

Guests can register at the start of the checkout process, or they can use the Log In widget to register at any time during their visit to the web shop.

To configure self-registration, complete these tasks in Rhythm Portal, the ERP, and the Business Center:
  1. In the ERP, create a customer to use with consumer users. When consumer users place orders, the orders are associated with the customer that you create.
  2. In Rhythm Portal, set up web shop pages and configurations that are used for self-registration.
  3. In Rhythm Portal, set up the email notification that is sent when a guest user registers for an account.
  4. In the Rhythm Portal and the Business Center, optionally configure the selection of markets for guest users.
  5. In the Business Center, configure the guest user role for self-registration.
  6. In the Business Center, configure consumer user information.
  7. In the Business Center, configure addresses for replication to the ERP.
