Enabling the display of the password policy

You can configure the web shop to display a tooltip that contains your password policy. The tooltip is displayed when users place their cursors in the Password field during registration. When users satisfy a requirement, a check mark is displayed next to the requirement. To register, users must comply with all requirements of the password policy.

To display the password policy in the web shop, the Syntax Checking Enabled check box must be selected for the password policy in Rhythm Portal. The Allow Dictionary Words check box must also be selected. Contact Infor to help you complete this procedure.

If your password policy includes a regular expression requirement, this requirement is not displayed in the tooltip. The regular expression requirement is still validated.

  1. Sign in to the web shop as an administrator.
  2. Select Admin > Control Panel.
  3. Click Password Policies.
  4. Click Default Password Policy.
  5. In the Password Syntax Checking section, ensure that you have selected these check boxes:
    • Syntax Checking Enabled
    • Allow Dictionary Words
  6. Click SAVE.
