Limitations of configurable products

This table shows the features that cannot be used with configurable products:

Feature	Limitation
Guest users	A customer must be signed in to the web shop to configure items. Guest users cannot configure items.
Modular quantities	You cannot enforce or recommend modular order quantities on configurable products.
Alternate units of measure	Configurable products must be sold in the base unit of measure.
Quick order entry	Customers cannot order configurable items with quick order entry.
Order file upload	If the file contains only configured items, then it cannot be uploaded. If the file contains both configured and non-configured items, the non-configured items are added to the shopping cart when the customer uploads the file.
Order Guide	You cannot add configurable products in the Order Guide.
Quote workflow	Configurable products are not supported in quote workflow.
