Selecting a location before browsing

If you have set up delivery location functionality or both delivery location and click to collect functionality, then customers can select a location before browsing for products.

To select a location, customers use the Location Selector widget on the Product List page. If both click to collect and delivery location functionality are enabled, customers first specify whether they will pick up the items or have the items delivered. Then, customers select the location, which is associated with a warehouse. The locations that are available for selection depend on the customer's warehouse group and whether the associated location is eligible for the customer's selected delivery method.

After customers select a location, the web shop is updated to show the available inventory and pricing of the items at the location's associated warehouse.

When customers check out, the location that they selected for browsing the web shop is used. Optionally, customers can select a different location during checkout.

The location and delivery method that the customer selects are retained for the customer's web shop session. Customers can reset their selection in these ways:
  • Click the Reset button in the Location Selector widget.
  • Sign out of the web shop.
  • For multi-customer users, select a different customer.
