How a consumer user registers for an account

After the web shop is configured for self-registration, users who are not signed in can register for accounts. They can register from the Log In widget or when they begin the checkout process.

See "Configuring self-registration" in the Infor Rhythm for Commerce Web Content and Functions Guide.

When the user clicks the CREATE AN ACCOUNT link or button, a form is displayed. The user is required to complete these fields:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Password
  • Captcha
When the user clicks in the Password field, a list of password requirements is displayed. When the user complies with a requirement, a check mark is displayed next to the requirement. Users must comply with all password requirements before they can register.

If market selection has been set up for guest users and consumer users, then the user also selects a market. After the user selects the market, a list of the countries in the market is displayed.

Depending on how the User Registration widget is configured, a Company field may be displayed. Specifying information in this field is optional and is informational only. Specifying information in this field does not formally link the user to a customer in the ERP.

If users registered during checkout, they are redirected to the Checkout page. If users registered from the Log In widget, they are redirected to the default landing page. The default landing page is specified in Rhythm Portal.

See "Specifying the redirect page" in the Infor Rhythm for Commerce Web Content and Functions Guide.
