Customers and your databases

This table shows the types of actions users can take on your website and the result of those actions in your databases:

Places an orderThe order is created in the Rhythm Commerce database. A SalesOrder BOD is then sent from e-Commerce to the ERP.
Creates a template order The order is created in the Rhythm Commerce database. Template orders are not sent to the ERP.
Edits contact information For customer users, the Customer User record in the Rhythm Commerce database is updated.

For consumer users, the Consumer User record in the Rhythm Commerce database is updated.

Edits account preferencesFor customer users, the Customer User record in the Rhythm Commerce database is updated.

For consumer users, the Consumer User record in the Rhythm Commerce database is updated.

Changes a passwordUpdates the Rhythm User record in Rhythm Portal.
Adds, edits, or deletes an authorized userUpdates the Customer User records in the Rhythm Commerce database and Rhythm Portal.
Specifies a search term that yields no resultsUpdates Zero Hit Management records in the Rhythm Commerce database.
Registers for a consumer user account The user is created in the Rhythm Portal and Rhythm Commerce databases. In Rhythm Commerce, the user is created as a consumer user.
Consumer user specifies addresses during checkout The addresses are created in the Rhythm Commerce database. If the WebService.Send User Address application property has been set to true, then the addresses are created in the ERP database.
