Order guides

An order guide is a list of products that a customer user commonly orders.
In the web shop, the actions that customer users can complete depend upon their role. This table shows the feature elements that affect the functionality of order guides:

View Order Guides
  • View a list of order guides on the Order Guide List page.
  • Order items from an order guide on the Order Guide Details page. To open the Order Guide Details page, the customer user clicks the View Details link on the Order Guide List page.
  • Export an order guide to a CSV file. The file can be edited and uploaded to the Order File Upload widget.
Manage Order Guides
  • Delete an order guide from the Order Guide List and Order Guide Details pages.
  • Add and delete items from the order guide on the Order Guide Details pages.
    • To add an item, customer users click the Add Product link. They can specify the item number, customer item number, or UPC.
    • To delete an item, customer users click the X button in the row that contains the item to delete.
Order Header Notes
  • Specify header notes in the Order Guide Details page or in the Add Product dialog box.

    The Manage Order Guides feature element must also be selected.

  • Include a Notes column in the order guide export file.
Order Line Comments
  • Specify linelevel comments in the Order Guide Details page.

    The Manage Order Guides feature element must also be selected.

Load Recent Products
  • Replace the items in an order guide with items from recent orders.
