Controlling access to web pages

You can set web page access at these levels:
  • Role
  • User segment
  • Market
All customers are assigned to the Rhythm User role. To hide a web page from all customers, clear the View check box for the Rhythm User role.
Note: If you do not want to set page permissions by User Segment or Market, you can remove the tabs. See Removing permission control tabs.
  1. Sign in to your website as a tenant administrator or site editor.
  2. Open the Site menu.
  3. Select Site Builder > Pages.
  4. On the page for which you are setting permissions, select More Actions > Permissions.
  5. Use these tabs to set permissions:
    Tab Description
    Role All customers have the Rhythm User role. To prevent all customers from visiting the page, clear the View check box. All other check boxes displayed on the Role page should be cleared for the Rhythm User role.
    User Segment Clear the View check box to prevent the users in the user segment from viewing the web page. If a user is a member of more than one user segment, then the user can view the web page if any of the user segments that the user belongs to can view the web page.
    Market Clear the View check box to prevent the users in the market from viewing the web page. If a user is a member of more than one market, then the user can view the web page if any of the markets that the user belongs to can view the web page.
  6. Click Save.
