Enabling the display of the password policy in Rhythm Portal

You can configure Rhythm Portal to display the password policy when users that have been created in Rhythm Portal change their passwords. Users must change their passwords when they sign in to Rhythm Portal for the first time. To update their passwords, users must comply with all requirements of the password policy.

To display the password policy, the Syntax Checking Enabled check box must be selected for the password policy in Rhythm Portal. Contact Infor to help you complete this procedure.

Note: If you also want to display the password policy in the web shop, you must select the Allow Dictionary Words check box in addition to the Syntax Checking Enabled check box. See "Enabling the display of the password policy" in the Infor Rhythm for Commerce Web Content and Functions Guide or online help.

If your password policy includes the default regular expression requirement, then the requirement is translated to state that the @ symbol is not allowed. If a custom regular expression is specified, the regular expression is displayed as-is and is not translated into an easily understood format.

Note: If you also display the password policy in the web shop, regular expressions are not displayed in the password policy tooltip. The regular expression requirement is still validated.

Due to a caching issue, changes to your password policy many not take effect immediately. To make changes to password policies, contact Infor.
