Specifying attributes to display in the entities data grid

In the Entities form, entities are displayed in a grid. Use the Entity datagrid section to specify up to three defined attributes to display in the grid. You can select text and text area attributes.

In the grid, the name of the attribute is used as the column header. Users click the values in the first column to open an entity. For example, if you select Product Name in the Column I

If you leave the Column I field blank, then Column I is used as the column header and field, then users click an entity's product name to open the entity record. <No Attribute Mapping> is used for the value. If an attribute is mapped to column I but a value has not been specified for the attribute, then <No Value> is used for the value.

If you leave the Column II and Column III fields blank, then those columns are not displayed in the entity grid.

You can define entity grid mappings on the top-level parent entity type. Child entity types inherit the mappings of the parent entity.

  1. On the dashboard, click Entity Types.
  2. In the records pane, click the top-level entity type that you are editing.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Entity Datagrid section, select the attribute to map to each column.
  5. Click Update.
