Creating and uploading a zip file for media attributes

  1. Create a file directory. You can choose any name for the directory.
  2. In the file directory, create sub-directories for each media attribute that you are uploading. If the attribute is not localized, then the name of the sub-directory must be the same as the attribute ID. If the attribute is localized, then the name of the sub-directory must use this format: AttributeID[localecode]. For example, specify Color[sv-SE].
  3. Optionally, create sub-directories in the attribute ID directories. Complete this step if files have duplicate names or you use the same file for multiple entities. You can choose any name for the sub directory.
  4. Add media files to the appropriate directory.
  5. Convert the file to a .zip file.
  6. Import the .zip file:
    1. On the dashboard, click Import / Export.
    2. If multiple accounting entities are available in PIM, ensure that you have selected the accounting entity that you want to use.
    3. Click Import.
    4. In the Import to Entity Type field, select the top-level entity type of the entities whose media files you are adding.
    5. In the Attach File field, click the browse button and select the .zip file that you are importing.
    6. Click Import.
After the zip file is uploaded, the Download CSV button is displayed. Use this button to download the bulk import report.
