Completing a keyword search in a specific attribute field

Use this procedure to search for entities where the specified attribute ID contains the keywords or phrase.

  1. On the dashboard, click Entities.
  2. If multiple accounting entities are available in PIM, ensure that you have selected the accounting entity that you want to use.
  3. Use the navigation pane to select the type of entities to search.
  4. In the Search field, specify the attribute ID, followed by a colon, a space, and the search keyword. You can use these search criteria.
    • A single word. For example, specify Description: Yellow to find entities that contain the word yellow in the Description attribute.
    • Multiple words. All words must be used in the attribute to be included in the search results. For example, if you search for Description: Yellow Hat, then entities where the Description attribute contains "yellow hat" or "yellow sun hat" are in the search results.
    • A phrase. To search for a phrase, enclose the keywords in quotation marks. For example, specify Description: "Yellow Hat" to find entities that contain the phrase "yellow hat" in the Description attribute. If the Description attribute contains "yellow sun hat", then the entity is not included in the search results.
  5. Press Enter.
