Delivery

After you set up delivery, customer users and consumer users can select the location that will ship their orders.

To specify the stores that can be used as delivery locations, use the Store Types and Stores forms. In the Store Types form, set up a store type as a delivery location type. In the Stores form, associate the store with the delivery location type, and then specify a warehouse to link to the store.

Users who have permission to use delivery can select Delivery from the Location Selector widget, select a location, and then browse for products. After customers select a location, the web shop is updated to show the available inventory and pricing of items at the location's associated warehouse.

When customers check out, the location that they selected for browsing the web shop is used. Optionally, customers can select a different location during checkout.

The location that the customer selects is retained for the customer's web shop session. Customers can reset their selection in these ways:
  • Click the Reset button in the Location Selector widget.
  • Sign out of the web shop.
  • For multi-customer users, select a different customer.
To be available for selection, a store must meet these criteria:
  • The store must have a delivery location store type.
  • The store must be associated with a warehouse.
  • The warehouse must be visible.
  • The warehouse must be assigned to the customer's warehouse group.

If you have specified Google Map API information in the Business Center, then customers can select the delivery location from a map. If you have not specified Google Map API information, then customers select the delivery location from a list.
