Third-party sources of catalog and category information
If you maintain catalog and category information in a third-party system, such as a
product information management system, you can use API to replicate the catalog structure in
the Business Center.
Information about the API end points is provided in the appendix.

In the Business Center, replicated catalog information is labeled as external. You can view replicated catalog information in the Catalogs and Categories forms.
After information is replicated, you can upload images for categories in the Business Center.
If an error is encountered during replication, an email is sent from the Notifications Service. You can use the Notifications Service to customize the email.
