Setting up order notification emails in the Business Center

After a customer places an order, you can send an email notification to the customer. Use Application Details in the Business Center to set up default information for emails. Use roles and feature elements in Business Center to determine the customers who receive email notifications.

  1. In the Business Center, select Application Setup > Application Details.
  2. In the Group filter, select Mail.
  3. Specify this information:
    EmailAdressSeparator
    Specify the character to use to separate emails. Specify this value if you plan to specify more than one email address in any of the other Application Detail parameters.
    MailReceiverBlindCarbonCopy
    Specify the internal recipient who should receive a copy of all order confirmations sent to customers. You can retain these emails for your records.
    OrderSubmitNotificationLogo
    Specify the path to the logo image to display in the email. The logo image can be any image that is accessible from the Internet.
    OrderSubmitNotificationRedirectionURL
    Specify the URL of the web page where customers can view details about their orders.
  4. Optionally, specify information specific to a market in the Market Details form. If you use different web shops per market, use these fields to redirect customers to the web shop for their market.
    1. In the Application Setup section of the Business Center, select Markets.
    2. Click the market ID.
    3. In the Notification Site ID field, specify the URL for the web shop that is associated with the market.
    4. In the Portal Settings section, specify this information:
      URL
      Specify the URL of the market's web shop.
      Order History Target Page
      Specify the name of the Order History page. Ensure that you include a forward slash (/) before the name of the page.
    5. Click Save.
  5. To specify the customer users who should receive order notifications, assign the user to a role that has the Send Mail on Order feature element enabled.
