Comparing products

Customers can compare the attributes of items that you sell on your website.

To add an item to the comparison, customers click the Compare check box on the product in the Product List page. The item is added to the compare sticky bar. The bar shows the number of items that the customer is including in the comparison. The maximum number of items that can be compared is also displayed.

Customers can remove an item from the sticky bar in these ways:
  • They can click the X button for the item in the sticky bar
  • They can clear the Compare check box for the item on the Product List.
To remove all items from the comparison, customers click the Clear link.

If you sell style items, then customers can add individual SKUs to the comparison. They cannot add the parent style item to the comparison.

When customers are ready to compare the products, they click the COMPARE button. The attributes of each item are displayed in the table. To highlight the differences among products, customers slide the Highlight Differences toggle. Differences among the products are highlighted in blue.

Customers can place items in their carts directly from the product comparison.

To set up product comparisons on your website, you must specify information in the Business Center and in Rhythm Portal.
