Anonymous cXML PunchOut users

You can set up cXML PunchOut to allow valid anonymous users to complete punchout orders. An anonymous user is a user who does not have login credentials for the web shop.
To implement this feature, use the new Service User field in the Customer Details form in the Business Center. The credentials of the service user are used to sign the anonymous user in to the web shop. The service user that you select for a customer must meet these criteria:
  • The user must exist in both Rhythm Portal and the Business Center.
  • In the Business Center, the user must be set up as a PunchOut user.

See Creating the PunchOut customer user.

  • The user must be associated with the customer.

After you specify the service user, an anonymous user can complete a punchout transaction if the cXML file contains the correct Shared Secret and the From Credential Identity or Sender Credential Identity.

If these conditions are met, then an email is sent to the anonymous user after an order is submitted:
  • The anonymous user's email is included in the cXML file
  • The Send Mail on Order feature element is enabled on the service user's role.

Multiple anonymous users from the same customer can access the web shop simultaneously.
