Customer users

Customer users are affiliated with a customer and can buy products on your website. You can create customer users in Rhythm Portal. Users can be assigned to one of two predefined roles: Advanced User and Regular User. You can define additional roles in the Business Center.

When you create a customer user in Rhythm Portal, the user is also created in the Business Center.

If you assign the customer user to the Advanced User role, the customer user can create additional customer users who can access your website. When Advanced Users create a user, the new user is created in Rhythm Portal and the Business Center. In Rhythm Portal, users are created with the Rhythm User role. Advanced users select the Business Center role for the customer user from a list that is displayed on your website. You can choose the roles to display in the list in the Business Center.

If the advanced customer user is affiliated with only one customer, then the customer users that the advanced user creates inherit the customer affiliation. If the advanced customer user is affiliated with a customer group, the advanced customer user can assign the new user to the customer group or to a particular customer in the group.
