Assortments and user segments at run time

At run time, e-Commerce evaluates the visibility status of each item by determining if the item belongs to an assortment that the current user can see. There are two ways to evaluate the visibility of an item:

• Explicit visibility means an item or category belongs to one or more visible assortments because you have the specific item or category as such.
• Implicit visibility means an item or category belongs to one or more visible assortments, not because it has been specifically enabled, but because of visibility rules.
