Item relationships replicated from the ERP

You can replicate item relationships from Infor CloudSuite Distribution to Infor PIM. Examples of item relationships include upgrade items and fully interchangeable items.

Set up item relationships in CloudSuite Distribution. The relationship must be replicated in the ItemMaster BOD.

In PIM, use the enabled.item-relationship-types parameter in tenant Settings form to specify the types of relationships that you use.

Use the new Relationships tab in the Entity Types form to define the relationships for an entity type. When you create a relationship, you specify this information:
  • Name
  • ID
  • Relationship type. Select from the list of relationship types that are defined in the Settings form.
  • Source BOD mapping. Destination BOD mapping is not yet supported.

You can define a mapping for a particular relationship type once in an entity type hierarchy. For example, parent entity type Clothes has a child entity type of Shirts. You can define a mapping for the Upgrade relationship type in either the Clothes entity type or Shirts entity type, but not both.

You can define a mapping for the same relationship type in sibling entity types. For example, parent entity type Clothes has two children entity types: Shirts and Pants. You can define an Upgrade relationship type on both Shirts and Pants, provided that you have not defined an Upgrade relationship type on Clothes.

Use the Translations tab of the Add Relationship dialog to specify translations for the name and description of the relationship.

After the ItemMaster BOD is replicated, you can view related items of a parent item in the Entity Details form. Use the Related Items tab to view the items for each relationship type.

Limitations

Currently, relationships can be replicated from CloudSuite Distribution only. You cannot change relationships in PIM and replicate the data back to CloudSuite Distribution.
