Multiple accounting entities in PIM

Infor PIM now supports the use of multiple accounting entities.

In PIM, you can create the same or different data models for each accounting entity. You can replicate the same item from the ERP into multiple entities.

During tenant post-provisioning, the entity IDs that you use are specified in the enabled.accounting-entity-ids key of the Settings form. Contact Infor to complete this procedure. The Settings form is available in Rhythm Services.
Note: To access modules in PIM, at least one accounting entity must be set up.

Users select the accounting entity with which to work in the new User Preferences form. If more than one accounting entity is specified in the Settings form, then the currently selected accounting entity is displayed in all PIM forms, except for the Monitoring form.

If a user updates an entity that is mapped to the ERP, the accounting entity ID is included in the BOD.

Imports and exports are also completed by accounting entity ID. When you export information from PIM, the currently selected accounting entity ID is appended to the file name.

Limitations

Rhythm for Commerce does not yet recognize accounting entities.

When importing data from a spreadsheet into PIM, ensure that the data in the spreadsheet corresponds to the currently selected accounting entity ID. The accounting entity ID is not validated, and data can be lost if there is a mismatch between the spreadsheet and the accounting entity ID.
