Style SKU selector

In the web shop, users can now use drop-down menus to select style dimensions. For example, a user can select the size of an item from one drop-down menu and the type of fabric from another drop-down menu.

To display the drop-down menus for a user, assign the user to a role where the Style SKU Selector feature element is enabled.

When a user selects on option from a drop-down menu, the other drop-down menus are updated based on availability. For example, the style item has dimensions of Fabric and Size. If fabric Cotton is available in sizes Small and Large only, then users cannot select Medium from the Size menu if they have already selected Cotton from the Fabric drop-down menu.

When users click the last drop-down to make a selection, stock level information is displayed. For example, the style item has dimensions of Fabric, Size, and Color. If a user selects Cotton in the Fabric drop-down menu and Red in the Color drop-down menu, then stock level information is displayed in the Sizes drop-down menu.

After users select a valid combination, pricing and available-to-promise information is updated to show information for the selected SKU.

To retain the current style matrix for the ordering of style items, assign users to a role where the new Style Matrix feature element is enabled.

If users are assigned to a role where both the Style SKU Selector and the Style Matrix feature elements are enabled, then users can order style items from the drop-down menus or from the style matrix. The style dimension drop-down menus are displayed by default. To use the style matrix to order items, users turn on the Order in bulk switch.

As part of this enhancement, you can now configure the display of style items in the Mini-cart widget. To display each SKU individually as a normal item, turn off the Group Style SKU setting. To group SKUs by the parent style item, turn on the Group Style SKU setting. When SKUs are grouped by parent item, users can expand the parent item in the mini-cart to view individual SKUs.

Upgrade note

When the June 2022 release is deployed to your environment, the Style Matrix feature element is enabled on all roles.

Limitation

If you use color as a style dimension, then a drop-down menu for color is displayed. In a future release, users will click the swatch image to select the color dimension.
