Support for punchout by users without Rhythm logins

If you have set up cXML-based punchout, valid anonymous users can now complete punchout orders. An anonymous user is a user who does not have login credentials for the web shop.
To implement this feature, use the new Service User field in the Customer Details form in the Business Center. The credentials of the service user are used to sign the anonymous user in to the web shop. The service user that you select for a customer must meet these criteria:
  • The user must exist in both Rhythm Portal and the Business Center.
  • In the Business Center, the PunchOut Order feature element must be selected on the role that is assigned to the user.
  • The user must be associated with the customer.

After you specify the service user, an anonymous user can complete a punchout transaction if the cXML file contains the correct Shared Secret and the From Credential Identity or Sender Credential Identity. If the anonymous user's email is included in the cXML file, the user receives a notification when the order is submitted. If the email is not included in the cXML file, then a notification is not sent.

Multiple anonymous users from the same customer can access the web shop simultaneously.

Activation

In the Customer Details form in the Business Center, specify a valid user ID in the Service User field.
