Processing of PIM-related BODs

To improve the performance of BOD processing in product information management (PIM) integrations, BODs are now processed in events. These BOD events are used to process data between the ERP and PIM.
Events have these characteristics:
  • Events are created when tenants have unprocessed BODs.
  • Events are created per tenant. For example, if ten tenants have unprocessed BODs, then ten events are created. Each event contains BODs for one tenant.
  • Each event contains tenant information that is used to form the event queue. Queued events are then picked for processing.
  • Across all tenants, BOD events are processed in parallel. Processing a BOD event for one tenant does not delay the processing of an event in another tenant.

To monitor BOD events, use the new PIM BOD Service administration module. This module shows information about the current BOD event, including the status of the event and the number of unprocessed BODs at the time that the event was created. You can also view the current number of unprocessed BODs.
