Adding and inviting applicants

You can configure Rhythm for Civics to allow users to add additional applicants to their applications.

The options for adding additional applicants are controlled by attributes on the Setup node in the Portal configuration.

Adding applicants

The Add Applicant attribute indicates whether users can add applicants directly. If you set the value to Show, an Add Applicants button will be displayed in the Add Instrument widget, and an Add More link will be displayed under Additional Applicants in the Instrument Detail widget. Users can click the button or the link to add applicants.

Inviting applicants

The other option is to add applicants by invitation. If you set the Invite Applicant attribute to Show, an Invite Applicants button will be displayed in the Add Instrument widget and an Invite More link will be displayed in the Instrument Detail widget. In this case the user must specify the email address of the additional applicant, and Rhythm for Civics will send that person an invitation.

Invitations use the SendPortalInvitation template, which is one of the default notification templates in Infor Operations and Regulations.

User experience enhancements

The user experience when invitees accept invitations varies depending on whether the Invitee User Experience Enhancements feature toggle is enabled in Operations and Regulations. The enhanced user experience includes a wizard-like acceptance process with clear instructions and easy-to-follow prompts. For authorized users accepting an invitation on behalf of their organization, the wizard guides them to select the appropriate profile.

Note: The Invitee User Experience Enhancements feature toggle activates the feature globally and cannot be deactivated after it is turned on.
