Creating users
Use the Portal configuration to specify whether users can create their own user profiles. To allow users to create their own profiles, set the Allow New Profile attribute on the node of the Portal configuration to True.
If users can create their own profiles, you can require security questions and answers for added security. To configure security questions, use the Requires Question and Answer attribute on the node.
To define the available security questions, use the SecurityQuestion code definition in Infor Operations and Regulations. The SecurityQuestion code definition is found under in Code Definition Management.
Rhythm for Civics can also be configured for single sign on using a provider such as LoginRadius.
See Single sign on configuration.
In addition to creating accounts for end users, there are two types of default users that you must create: an anonymous user and one or more administrative users.
Confidential contacts
To protect contacts' privacy, you can mark contact records as confidential in Operations and Regulations. You can then configure the CDR Portal to prevent confidential contacts from registering for user accounts.
To indicate that a contact is confidential, select the Is Confidentiality requested check box in the Contact InfoViewer.
To prevent confidential contacts from registering, use the Prevent Confidential Contacts from Registering attribute on the node in the Portal configuration.
See Portal User node.
