Dashboard

The Dashboard in the Billing Portal shows summary information about a customer's billing account.

The Dashboard shows a collection of panels, which are defined as widgets. Some of the widgets can be configured using the configuration settings or the BillingService configuration for the Rest Services.

See BillingService configuration.

By default, the Dashboard includes these widgets:

  • Summary: Shows the current balance and the last payment date. The user can click Pay to submit a payment.
  • Consumption Graph: Shows the consumption history for account services.

These nodes in the BillingService configuration are used to configure the consumption graphs:

    • Use the Consumption node in the configuration to configure the display options for the graph. For example, you can allow users to view consumption for different periods, such as months or years.
    • The Unit of Measure node under the Consumption node defines the unit of measure for the graph.

You can also configure display options in the widget configuration.

See Rhythm Billing Consumption Graph widget.

  • Recent Bills: Shows the history of recent bills for the account.

You can use the BillingService configuration to specify the number of bills to show. The Bills Count attribute is found on the Account > Summary node in the configuration.

  • Recent Payments: Shows the history of recent payments for the account.

You can use the BillingService configuration to specify the number of payments to show. The Payments Count attribute is found on the Account > Summary node in the configuration.

  • Services: Lists the active utility services for the account.
  • Quick Links: Shows a list of helpful links. You can add or remove links by editing the widget configuration.

    See Rhythm Billing QuickLinks widget.
