Advanced location selection
The advanced location view for new service requests and applications starts with the map,
and also includes a search field with AutoComplete enabled. If the device's location services
are enabled, and if the user's current location is within the map extent, the user can click
the button to use their
current location as the service request or application site.
See Setting the request location or Setting the location of an application.
Currently only ESRI services are supported for the advanced location view. By default ESRI Online services are used, but with some additional steps your site can also be configured to use an on-premises service.
To activate the advanced location view you must complete these tasks:
- Update the IPS-GetEsriToken service profile in Infor Public Sector
- Enable GIS and AutoComplete in the Portal configuration
- Configure the Add Instrument widget in Rhythm for Civics
If you are using the advanced location view for CDR instruments, there is also an option to show assets on the map. Users can select assets from the map and use them for application sites.
See Assets on the map.
