Log generation links

When editing application types and service request types in Infor Public Sector, you can define custom log generation links that will be displayed in Rhythm for Civics. These links can be shown in the My Projects widget or the Instrument Detail widget. Users can click them to add log entries of different types to applications and service requests, and optionally to change the status of applications.

Application types

To add log generation links for an application type, use the Log Generation Links node in Application Workflow. To add a link, specify the type of log entry to add and the link text to show in the Log Type and Link Text columns.

Use these columns in the Log Generation Links grid to specify additional information:

  • Status: Specify the status that will be assigned to an application when a user adds this type of log entry.
  • Instruction Text: Enter instructions for portal users to follow. The popup for this column shows a standard comments field with toolbar, so you can format the instructions as needed.
  • Show in My Projects: Select the check box to show the log link in the My Projects widget.
  • Show in Customer Details: Select the check box to show the link in the Instrument Detail widget for users in the customer role.
  • Show in Public Details: Select the check box to show the link in the Instrument Detail widget for users in the public role.
  • Show in Service Provider Details: Select the check box to show the link in the Instrument Detail widget for users in the service provider role.
  • Show on Milestones: Specify the application milestones at which the link will be displayed.

Service request types

To add log generation links for service request types, use the Log Generation Links grid on the Portal Configuration tab of the Request Type dialog box. Specify the type of log entry to add and the link text to show in the Log Type and Link Text columns.
