Assets on the map

If you have configured your site to use the advanced location view, then with some additional steps you can also allow portal users to submit applications for assets that they select from the map.

Configuration in Infor Public Sector

To allow users to submit applications for assets, you must first configure application types in Infor Public Sector to allow assets as primary sites. Open an application type from the application workflow form, select the Portal Setup tab, and select the Allow Asset as Primary check box.

After you select Allow Asset as Primary, you must add one or more asset types to the Portal Assets grid. These are the asset types for which users will be able to submit the application type in Rhythm for Civics.

Note: Although you can add any asset type to the Portal Assets grid, not all asset types are currently supported. Any agency-defined linear, network, or segment assets types that you add might not be shown in the portal.

AutoComplete configuration

Because the advanced location view uses AutoComplete, you must also add the supported asset types to the AutoComplete configuration for the Infor Public Sector site. Open the configuration in the Configuration Editor and browse to this node:

COMPOSITES > COMPOSITE (moniker=Portal.FindLocation, property=text) > JOINS > COMPONENT (moniker=RestServices.AssetManagement.Assets, property=FullFormattedAssetId) > Visibility Filter > Condition On AssetType.AssetType

For the Value attribute of the condition node, specify the asset type codes for the supported asset types in a comma-separated list.

See "Common monikers and asset type codes" in the Infor Public Sector GIS Administration Guide.

You must also ensure that AutoComplete is enabled in the Portal configuration for Rhythm for Civics.

See Enabling GIS and AutoComplete.

Configuration in Rhythm for Civics

In Rhythm for Civics, select the Use assets on Map check box under Licenses and Permits Submit Options (CDR) when you configure the Add Instrument widget.

See Configuring the Add Instrument widget.

Finally, you must add layers for the supported asset types to the GIS configuration for the Rest Services site.

See Adding asset layers.
