Document type permissions

The ability to view, add, update, and delete attachments in Rhythm for Civics is defined at the document type level. Because Rhythm for Civics is a public-facing portal, you can provide different levels of access for users in different roles.

When adding or editing a document type in Infor Public Sector, use the Portal Configuration grid to specify the actions that users in different roles can take. The grid has these rows:

  • List
  • Open
  • Add
  • Update
  • Delete

Each row has check boxes in three columns: Customer, Service Provider, and Public. For example, if the Add check box is selected in the Customer and Service Provider columns but not the Public column, then customers and service providers can add documents of that type in the portal, but public users cannot.

You can also specify an alternate description for a document type in the Portal Description field.
