Creating a portal user for a contact

Depending on your configuration, users may be able to create their own accounts through the Rhythm for Civics site. You can also create portal users for existing contacts in Infor Public Sector.
  1. Select Resources > Contact and Property Browser.
  2. Look up the contact for whom you want to create a user account.
  3. RIght-click the contact's name in the Contacts tree and select Open Contact.
  4. Open an existing contact information record, or create a new one.
  5. Ensure that the contact information record includes an email address.
    A notification will be sent to the user at this address. The notification uses the CreatePortalUser template, which is one of the default notification templates in Infor Public Sector.

  6. Click Action and select Create Portal User.
  7. Specify this information:
    User Name
    Specify the contact's user name for the portal site.
    Security Question
    If your portal site uses security questions, specify the user's security question.
    Reset Password on Login
    Select this check box to require the user to enter a new password when first logging in to the portal site.
  8. Click Save.
