Contact matching

When a user creates a new profile in the portal site, Rhythm for Civics attempts to match the contact information that they enter to an existing contact record in the Infor Public Sector database. If a match is found, that contact will be used for the portal user. If not, a new contact is created.

Rhythm for Civics also attempts to find an existing contact when a user adds an additional applicant to an application.

The Contact Matching node, under Setup in the Portal configuration, defines how Rhythm for Civics will search for contact records. There are seven sets of criteria that you can enable or disable independently. For example, you can search for contacts based on the first name, last name, and mobile phone number, or on the email address only.

If you don't want to use the contact matching feature you can disable all the criteria. In that case a new contact will always be created.
