Application types

To make an application type available in Rhythm for Civics, select the Show In Portal check box in Infor Public Sector. You can also define various other settings for each application type.

These options are shown on the Portal Setup tab of the Application Type dialog box in the application workflow forms:

Show In Portal
Select this check box to make an application type available in Rhythm for Civics.
Is Public
Select this check box to make an application type visible to users in the public role. Public users can view applications in the portal, but only customers can take actions against them.
Portal Description
Optionally, provide an alternative description of the application type that will be displayed in Rhythm for Civics.
Allow Submission
Indicates whether applications of this type can be submitted through the portal. This check box is not available for case types.
Allow Address as Primary
Select this check box to indicate that addresses can be used as primary sites for applications submitted in the portal.
Allow Asset as Primary
Select this check box to indicate that assets can be used as primary sites for applications submitted in the portal.
Allow Parcel as Primary
Select this check box to indicate that parcels can be used as primary sites for applications submitted in the portal.
Portal Keywords
Optionally, specify a list of keywords that can be used to search for application types in the portal. If filtering is enabled for application types in the Add Instrument widget, a search field is shown at the top of the list of available application types. As the user types in this field, the application types are filtered based on attributes such as the category and the description. Any keywords that you define will be used as additional search criteria.

Portal Assets
If you selected the Allow Asset as Primary check box, use the grid to list the specific asset types that are allowed.
Portal Instructions
Optionally, specify instructions for submitting this application type. The instructions will displayed for users in the portal site.

You can also define custom log generation links for your application types. Portal users can click the links to add different types of log entries to applications, and to change the status of applications.

The Show in Portal and Is Public check boxes, and the Portal Description field, are also available for these types of records that are associated with application types in Infor Public Sector:

  • Review types
  • Hearing types (Code Enforcement and Planning)
