Creating manual reservation

Use the Manual Reservation page to create manual reservations when external systems are not online except ResRent and CPQ. This also implies that you cannot view the rates and the reservation cannot be fully processed. If ResRent is not online, you can use webservices to upload data.

Note: 
  • When all the systems are back online, click Expand Right or use the keyboard shortcut ALT+RIGHT to open the List View where you can Right Click the record and click Update Field to execute the batch update.
  • Use the Upload button to upload excel spreadsheet for manual reservations taken offline when ResRent system is down and reservations cannot be processed via the Reservation screen or the Manual Reservation screen.

To create a manual reservation:

  1. Select Reservations > Manual Reservation.
  2. Specify the renter / itinerary information that you require. See additional details about the fields below:

    Specify the number on the physical form that is used previously to create the manual reservation.
    Brand
    Specify the brand. By default, the brand associated with the location is displayed.
    Age
    Specify the renter age. The default age of 25 is displayed. You can change the age value.
  3. Click Save.
    Note: 
    • The fields are not passed to CPQ for validation until the system is back online, and either a batch update is performed or the reservation is modified in the Reservation screen. To perform a batch update, click Expand Right or use the keyboard shortcut ALT+RIGHT to open the List View where you can Right Click the record and click Update Field to execute the batch update.
    • For the records that are in error, the Record Failed Batch Update check box is selected by the system. You must retrieve these records individually on the Reservation screen for further processing by clicking the Manual button on the Reservation screen toolbar.
